History: The Elk Grove Chinese Association was one of the funding member organizations of the Chinese New Year Celebration Alliance (CNYCA), now changed to the Chinese New Year Cultural Association (CNYCA) that has been hosting annual events. It served as two terms as a Chair organization with Dr. Charlie Huang serving as the chairman of the CNYCA in the Celebration of the Year of the Tiger in 1998 and Ms. Jane Liang as the chairwoman in the Celebration the Year of the Monkey.
