Ms. Saifu Xu graduated from Pleasant Grove High School with honors. She will be attending UC Berkeley this fall and majoring in Biology. As a fresh immigrant from China, Saifu has met many challenges over the last four years, such as language barrier and lack of cultural and social capitals. Saifu could not imagine what she would accomplish without the generous help from the community of the Elk Grove Chinese Association.
Ms. Yihan Zhu graduated from Cosumnes Oaks High School. At Cosumnes Oaks High, Yihan focused on serving the communities and broadening her own perspectives. In order to achieve these goals, she joined Link Crew group, worked at the art table in the library, cared for seniors in the senior house, joined Chinese Dress Show, and worked as an intern in Chegg Company. She loves literature, reading and writing. Yihan will attend Brigham Young University in fall, majoring in Business Accounting. She is also looking forward to exploring different fields in her college study.
