Golden Arch McDonald Scholarship

Jenny Xue Jenny Xue is currently a freshman at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) pursuing a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. She graduated as the valedictorian of Franklin High School this year, as well as the presidents of both Mathletes and Science Olympiad. At MIT, she is heavily involved in Improv-a-Do! serving as the marketing chair. Jenny is also involved in the Asian American Association as a freshman representative. In addition, she is the Campus Preview Weekend Chair of Maseeh Hall.

Elk Grove Chinese Association Foundation Scholarship

Wanda He Wanda He graduated from Franklin High School in Elk Grove as the Salutatorian of her class. Throughout her high school career, she was President of National Honor Society club, President of American Cancer Society club, and partook in many other campus organizations such as Franklin Theatre Company and Challenge Day. Wanda is currently attending UCLA and is majoring in Business Economics.
Katrina Ye Grant Huang graduated from Franklin High School in Elk Grove. As a freshman, he joined the Franklin Cross Country Team. He then participated in the Mathletes Club for three years. In his senior year, he served as a co-president of the Mathletes Club. Grant also participated in the Franklin Idol Contest both in his junior and senior years which he advanced to the finals each year. Grant served as a Math Tutor in the EGCA Math Club. He also served as a MC for the EGCA Children’s Talent Show. Grant is currently attending UCLA majoring in Statistics.
Becky Wang Becky Wang graduated from Laguna Creek High School in the class of 2015 with a grade point average (GPA) of 4.36. She has served her school well as the Marching Band Drum Major, Japanese Culture Club President, as well as National Honor Society Vice President for the past 2 years. During her years in high school she has won multiple awards including the Principal’s Art Award, a State Fair Blue Ribbon in Charcoal, and her school’s prestigious Cardinal Crest Award. She is attending the University of California, Irvine this fall in International Studies, utilizing her Chinese background to one day engage in East Asian International Business.
Garland Yee Garland Yee graduated from Laguna Creek High School with a cumulative GPA of 4.55. He was part of the tennis team for four years, Key Club Treasurer, President of Academic Decathlon for three years earning the highest overall score in the Team for one year and the Leadership award for three years while being in the club for four years. He is the President and Founder of the Programming Club for two years as well as in Mathletes for two years. Garland is attending University of California Davis for Computer Engineering in the fall of 2015.
