Under the new sports council Lili Deng’s leadership, the Elk Grove Chinese Association hosted its first tennis tournament at Toby Johnson Park and Laguna Creek High School’s tennis courts in October, 2006. There were mixed double games, men’s and women’s single games. After three Sunday’s games the winners are:
Mixed Double
champions: Sean Ng & Samantha Ng (father and daughter)
runners up: Chunli Claus Yang and Jennifer Yang (father and daughter)
Women’s Game
champion: Melinda (Mindy) Zeng
runner up: Jiang Wu
Men’s Game
champion: Chunli Claus Yang
runner up: Bin He
